A Collection of Collections
Toya devised, designed and co-illustrated the teacher resource 'A Collection of collections' in collaboration with Sarah Carne and Jhinuk Sarkar. The resource presents a series of curated selections exploring The Courtauld Gallery and making new connections beyond it.
Each collection includes explanations of why particular artworks have been selected and is followed by some talking points that are intended to prompt further individual thought or class/group discussion. These might well lead to more questions than answers. |
FASHION SENSE?
Using Renoir’s La Loge (The Theatre Box) (1874) as a starting point, the Fashion Sense? project invited students to create a cover and pages of a zine, making a comment on fashion and identity in contemporary culture.
The sourcebook designed and illustrated by includes source material, analysis and learning activities, and guidance on how the project can be run in secondary schools and colleges. Student work from the project can be seen in this online exhibition. |
